Gate style
Sliding gate*
Press a button. Your gate does the rest.
A gate that rolls sideways along a track (or cantilevers without one) behind the fence line. Popular for driveways, especially where there’s no room for a gate to swing, and the easiest gate to automate.

Honest advice
Is a sliding gate right for you?*
After 20+ years of building them, here’s when we’d recommend a sliding gate, and when we’d point you to something else.
It’s a great fit if…
You want to open the gate from the car
Sliding gates are the easiest to automate, with remotes, keypads, phone apps and safety sensors.
Your driveway is short or slopes up
It slides along the fence line, so it needs no driveway space and works on rising driveways.
You have a wide double driveway
One sliding leaf can span a wide opening and copes with wind better than two big swinging leaves.
You want security and convenience together
A closed automatic gate keeps cars, kids and dogs in, without getting out in the rain.
You might prefer something else if…
There’s no room beside the opening
The gate needs a clear run along the fence about as long as the gate itself, free of trees, pillars and meters.
Consider: Swing gateYou’re keeping costs down
A sliding gate costs more than a swing gate, and automation adds a meaningful amount on top.
Consider: Swing gateThe driveway is uneven or leafy
Ground tracks collect leaves and gravel. A cantilever (trackless) gate solves this, at extra cost.

Colours and finishes
What colours can I choose?*
Any colour you choose. The metal is powder coated, so we can match almost anything: your house trim, a Colorbond colour or a custom shade.
Textures available:
- Matt
- Satin
- Gloss
- Textured
- Woodgrain-look (aluminium)
- If your gate is clad with Colorbond-style sheet to match your fence, the sheet colour comes from the supplier’s catalogue, while the frame can be powder coated to match.
