Colorbond-style steel*
Total privacy. Zero weekend maintenance.
Pre-painted steel sheet panels between steel posts. The most common boundary fence in Melbourne suburbs: solid, private and available in a wide range of factory colours.

Honest advice
Is a Colorbond-style steel fence right for you?*
After 20+ years of building them, here’s when we’d recommend a Colorbond-style steel fence, and when we’d point you to something else.
It’s a great fit if…
You want full privacy
Solid sheet panels leave no gaps, so neighbours and passers-by can’t see in, even up close.
You never want to paint or oil a fence
The colour is baked on at the factory. A hose-down once or twice a year is all it needs.
Termites or rot have hit past fences
Steel posts and panels can’t rot, warp or be eaten, which suits damp or termite-prone yards.
You want a tidy, uniform look
Panels are identical and colour-matched on both sides, and can match a Colorbond roof or garage door.
You might prefer something else if…
You love the warmth of timber
Steel looks clean but can feel plain or industrial on a long run. Timber softens with age.

Solid panels block light and airflow, and catch wind, so they need well-built footings.
Consider: Vertical or horizontal slatThings are likely to bump into it
Cars, ladders and balls can dent the sheeting, and dents are hard to fix invisibly. Deep scratches need touching up to stop rust.
